I see patients with this problem all the time.
Younger patients tend to do better and have a lower probability of rejection of the cornea. However, in younger patients is less compatible with the medication to the eyes. Use lubricating drops of Pred Forte and stop receiving long term young people with the application of the drops and too tired.
His vision is still blurry after surgery. Our specialist in cornea wait to start about 2 months to remove the sutures, and can now remove more than one year.
When all seams are remoed, you can still blurred vision from irregular astigmatism. A gas constant contact and help in these cases, patients are often seen much later.
They expect, some discomfort after the operation, light sensitivity, watery eyes, redness of the eyes. The amount of pain varies for each patient. Our doctor gives patients usually 2-3 weeks, and light for 6 weeks.
I try to emphasize to patients that they are not clear, do not leave after surgery and a long recovery process to be discouraged about.
Of all the diseases to be treated eyes with corneal transplant is keratoconus be treated successfully. In other words, is a major eye operation and should be considered only after failure of treatment of contact lenses. Currently, there are contact lenses designed specifically for advanced keratoconus. However, only a few opticians and ophthalmologists, trained as these special glasses to adjust.
Probably the most important person in the light of the decision to do eye surgery to choose what the doctor. In spite of the corneal transplant does not work, I have a document to help patients with cataracts, choose a surgeon. The article can be accessed by clicking on this link:

The information in this document may be used in choosing a surgeon, a specialty, not only for cataract surgery.
